As a celebration of the Philippine Navy’s 119th Founding Anniversary, the 267th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Unit, in collaboration with the Philippine Navy, conducted a concert titled “Concert at the Campus: Himig Handog ng Hukbong Dagat ng Pilipinas para sa Kabataan” and showcased their talents at the University Grandstand on May 11.

Reaching out the youth

He also mentioned that the event will help in building the trust and support of the civilians to the Armed Forces of the Philippines particularly the Philippine Navy.

Kasi gusto ng Philippine Navy na ma-reach out ‘yong youth ng country natin para maimpluwensyahan sila kung gusto nilang pumasok sa Philippine Navy, sa Armed Forces,” he furthered.

With the objective of boosting the enthusiasm of the youth towards the ROTC program and the programs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Quibal encourages the Lasallian community to support the University’s ROTC Unit—the 267th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corp (NROTC) Unit, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Navy, and the revitalization of the mandatory ROTC among the youth.

The event showcased talents from Philippine Navy Bands Seabees Band and Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) Band with other performances from the Lasallian Pop Band and The Selected.
