DLSU-D students lead Research Week 2015
Students from the College of Science and Computer Studies, College of Education, College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, College of Liberal Arts and Communication, College of Business Administration and Accountancy, and College of Tourism and Hospitality Management presented over 100 research papers during the DLSU-D Research Week, conducted by the University Research Office (URO) on December 10 and 11 at the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) building and Alumni Auditorium.
The selected research papers featured various topics on science and health, business, engineering and technology, psychology, broadcast journalism, humanities, and education.
With its theme “Advancing Knowledge-Creation for 21st Century Competencies,” the event aims to inform the Lasallian community of the modern trends in technology and to encourage students to engage in research-related activities.

On the other hand, Dr. Ashley Tan from the National Institute of Education in Singapore, Dr. See Diu Seng from Thomson Reuters, Dr. Fernando Paragas from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and Dr. Tereso Tullao from De La Salle University-Manila served as guest speakers for the plenary session on the first day.
Meanwhile, the URO, together with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, and Cavite Studies Center, also conducted seminars on the Department of Science and Technology grants and funding, ethics on social science research, and writing research for scientific publications.

Publications Coordinator Jaime Agustin furthered that the University hosted the second Multidisciplinary Research Forum of the Health and Research Development Consortium (HRDC) Region IV-A during the two-day event.
Agustin added that students and faculty from Cavite State University, Batangas State University, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities, and De La Salle Lipa participated in this year’s Research Week.
