Cayetano shares platforms during DLSU-D’s 6th NYHRPC

Senator and vice-presidential candidate Alan Peter Cayetano presented his and his running mate Davao City Mayor and presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte’s platforms for the upcoming 2016 national elections during the 6th National Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Power Conference (NYHRPC) held at the SMX Convention Center on January 30.

Cayetano, one of the power speakers in the conference, vowed to end labor contractualization, poverty, and corruption.

Their platforms include regional development and inclusive economy, a fixed government with equality under the law, and the establishment of the Emergency Response Department (ERD), which will urgently respond to concerns regarding crime and illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, Senator and presidential candidate Grace Poe’s son, Brian Poe Llamanzares, also attended the event to be the second power speaker as Senator Poe failed to appear due to a delayed flight.

Llamanzares emphasized the promotion of Philippines as a tourist destination by improving the country’s airport situation and by upholding responsible tourism assistance to every citizen.

Other speakers during the conference were television and events host Pj Lanot, President of the Philippine Society of Nutritionist-Dietitians Inc. Ma. Veritas Luna, and Abigail Arenas, president of the Association of Image Consultants International- Philippine Chapter.

Andre Joseph Alip, human resource management practitioner, and Michael Angelo, celebrity inspirational speaker in television, radio and conferences in the country and abroad also served as speakers for the event.

Moreover, Vic Alcuaz hosted a talk show during the conference about stories of success with Tamayo’s Group of Companies President Steve Tamayo and Executive Chef Roberto Francisco.

DLSU-D fourth year Bachelor of Science in HRM students organized the NYHRPC, which aims to showcase the past, present, and future hotel and hospitality industry trends on food, dining, and service.

More than 1,000 students from different universities and colleges, such as the Bataan Peninsula State University, Lyceum of the Philippines University Laguna and Manila, Colegio de San Juan de Letran Bataan and Manila, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, Center for Culinary Arts, Systems Technology Institute College Recto, Bataan State University, Cavite State University, University of Baguio and Philippine Women’s University attended the power conference.
