It was no piece of cake for the Region 4-A CALABARZON Lady Spikers as Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) gave them a tough five-set match during their first game in the Private Schools Athletic Association – Nationals at the Osita Central Elementary School, Koronadal, South Cotabato, today, April 5.

As intense as the scorching heat of the city, the match sizzled with a 24-26, 25-11, 25-15, 20-25, and 15-12 card.

Parang masiyado kaming [nagkaroon ng] tiwala kasi alam naming kaya namin,” team captain Cherry Rose Nunag explained about their challenging encounter with CAR.

Continuing the hard-court battle, CALABARZON will face Region I and III tomorrow, April 6, on the same venue.
