Despite one injured teammate, Region 4-A representatives Robert Francisco, Ralph Gesulgon, Frederick Valenzuela, and Alvin Valdenarro retained their 4 x 100 meter relay title and added gold to CALABARZON’s tally during the third day of the athletics competition at the Southern Cotabato Sports Complex, Koronadal City, South Cotabato today, April 6. With a 0.08 seconds difference, the Patriots clocked a 43.25 seconds time against the second placer Region 6, who set a close 43.33 seconds record.

Before the game, Valdenarro suffered from plantar fasciitis but the Patriot shared that his foot pain didn’t affect their performance as they worked as a team during the relay event.
