JMA donates P100k to DLSUMC Breast Cancer Charity
The Junior Marketing Association (JMA) donated P100,000 to the De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) Breast Cancer Charity on February 17 upon conducting their fund-raising event titled Get Pinked 2016: DLSU-D Walk of Awareness on Breast Cancer on October 14, 2016, which raised a total of P150,000.
JMA’s donation was received by Brother Augustine Boquer, FSC, EdD (President, DLSU-D and DLSHSI), Dr. Jaime Pacifico (Director, Medical Professional Services, DLSUMC), and Sister Francesca San Diego (Vice Chancellor for Hospital Operations, DLSUMC).
The event titled Get Pinked 2016: DLSU-D Walk for Awareness on Breast Cancer, from which the donation was sourced from the raised funds, sought to raise awareness in the Lasallian community on matters regarding breast cancer and cancer treatment.
With over 2,000 student participants in attendance, the said event was organized in collaboration with AVON Philippines and eleven organizations and councils in the University.
