“Mayroong mga taon na ‘Natatanging Pulis’ [ang nabibigyan ng award]. May taon naman na dalawang categories, isa sa high school, isa sa elementary [na teacher ang mapaparangalan],” she mentioned.

30 years
The DLSU-D coffee table book titled The Wisdom of our Builders was launched during the DLSU-D Gawad Caviteño 2017, featuring the past 30 years of the University.
The Wisdom of our Builders writer Orlando Oliveros said that he wants the readers to learn from the lessons of the past as they see the content of the said coffee table book.
“When I was reviewing the data, ang daming lessons na matutunan because we had brilliant, brilliant administrators before. And maraming problema noon, but they were able to address these problems with their wisdom … parang dito ko gusto mag-focus sa brilliance nila, sa lessons na maaari nating matutunan from them,” he expressed.
President and Chancellor of DLSU-D Br. Agustin L. Boquer FSC, received his copy of the coffee table book titled “The Wisdom of our Builders” commemorating the 30 years of DLSU-D.
Oliveros said that the book was supposed to be published during the University’s silver anniversary but was prolonged since the administration could not find a writer and old pictures of the University.
However, the Mendoza family, owner of the Facebook page Old Dasmariñas showcasing the University’s old photos, luckily provided the photos they need.
Oliveros added that it is possible for a second edition of the book to be made should there be any changes recommended by past administrators.
He furthered that the book will soon be published publicly in hard bound, rather than the soft bound version launched at the event.
