Team Kramer, Vlogger Wil Dasovich, Baby Baste awarded at JMA’s 2nd FAME
Team Kramer, Vlogger Wil Dasovich, and Eat Bulaga’s Baby Baste received their respective awards during the Junior Marketing Association (JMA)’s Face of Advertising and Marketing Excellence Awards (FAME) 2017 on May 15 at the SMX Convention Center, Taguig.
Together with the Young Marketers’ Awards (YMA), FAME 2017 was held as part of the BSBA Marketing and Advertising Management students’ general assembly titled “Paragon: The Epitome of Marketing Excellence.”
According to Project Head Marc Cernal, FAME 2017 aims to recognize and award faces who have made a mark and a breakthrough in the marketing and advertising industry in the last year.
“FAME is created because we (JMA) want, not only the DLSU-D students, but also personalities, influencers, and vloggers alike to be recognized in the field of marketing, promotion, and advertising,” he said.
During the awarding event, Team Kramer won the Family Endorser of the Year award for the second time, while Eat Bulaga’s Baby Baste was named as the Child Celebrity Endorser of the Year award, and Vlogger Wil Dasovich was hailed as the Influencer of the Year award.
Other awards were also presented during the event, which also came from the surveys conducted online and answered by approximately 2,500 DLSU-D students.
“We’ve conduct surveys about it (FAME) which became the foundation of the results for around four weeks straight—[from] March to April. ‘Yong mga nananalo, we’re inviting them to join us. They are not paid [at] kung sino lang ang willing [pumunta] and available that day,” Cernal said.
The first FAME event was held last academic year 2015-2016’s second semester.
For DLSU-D Marketers
Apart from the FAME 2017, prominent speaker Mansmith and Fielders Inc. Chairman Josiah Go discussed the difference between Market-Driven Strategy and Market-Driving Strategy.
From Go’s talk, he encouraged the Marketing and Advertising students to be unique in a different way by showing relevance to what they promote and advertise among their target audience.
Meanwhile, YMA was also conducted during the general assembly which aimed to acknowledge Marketing students who excelled in their respective subjects.
