DLSU-D lands first-ever 3rd and 4th spots in Sanitary Engineer Licensure Exam
DLSU-D Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering alumni Patricia Masil, and Paulo Pangilinan placed 3rd and 4th, respectively, in the Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examinations, being the first topnotchers from the program as announced yesterday, August 14.
They each garnered a rating of 81.10 and 80.90, respectively, in the exam administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last August 7 to 9.
Overall, 23 out of 30 first time board exam takers from the University passed the licensure exam, having a 76.67% passing rate, while 107 out of 157 board exam takers passed, with a national passing rate of 68.15%.
In an online interview with The HERALDO FILIPINO, Masil said that she was “surprised and overwhelmed” upon learning the result, while Pangilinan shared, “Masaya at chill lang, kasi sa isip ko kahit ano naman ang resulta [ng exam] magiging masaya ako.”
For future Sanitary Engineer Licensure Exam takers, Masil advised to prepare themselves, focusing on the goal, to study efficiently, to rest when tired, to draw strength from loved ones, and to “always pray, and have faith.”
On the other hand, Pangilinan advised future exam takers to review during the same time of the board exams, adding “‘wag magpupuyat, maging madiskarte, at ang pinaka effective ay prayer talaga.”
