Let’s admit it, it can be hard to concentrate in our usual workspaces like our campus kubos and messy rooms with enticing beds. Especially in the thick of exam week, every student needs somewhere to prepare for their tests and rush through those project deadlines—in need for a place to concentrate.
Consider these spots for you to regain drive getting things done. We rated them for you, too—in the DLSU-D grading system, of course.
Captain’s Sweet Galley
Entering the café, you’ll see walls clad with blue-white stripes matched with world maps and anchor ship design that set off a sailor motif. Typically just called “Sweet Galley” they serve different sorts of ice cream, pasta, milkshakes, sandwiches, and more.
They offer board games perfect for barkada and such—but don’t get distracted by them because remember, your purpose is to tick off that to-do list.

Priding itself as a “local store and cafe”, Sari serves milkshakes, milk tea, and snacks like pasta, pizza, and nachos which ingredients they claim to be locally sourced. This festival-themed cafe aims to promote Filipino products, especially small farms and businesses.

Hey Focus Lounge
If you want to study in a quiet place with zero to no disturbance at all, Hey Focus Lounge is the place to be. This is the likely case as it is specifically designed to cater those who want to take it to the next level of productivity. The interiors of this coworking space is a modern office with earthy color scheme that helps with mind clarity. It feels homey in an amount just right for you to be comfortable, but not too much that you’d feel sleepy (sometimes).
Additionally, your pass comes with unlimited coffee and hot chocolate from their machine and behold: personal power sockets. They have desk lamps too you can adjust for yourself, and choices of high chairs, round tables, meeting rooms, and even a sofa. So yes, you can pull off an all-nighter here—just don’t get too comfortable in their lounge chairs lest you find yourself literally sleeping all night.
