CEATSC’s Radiate champions OPM with headliners Hale and Silent Sanctuary
Proving OPM is not dead, the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology Student Council (CEATSC) organized the concert Radiate with headlining performances from Silent Sanctuary and Hale to the excitement of the full house held at the Ugnayang La Salle yesterday, April 21.
Returning to the University for the second year in a row after announcing their comeback, Hale frontman Champ Lui Pio expressed, “We’re very grateful that we were invited again.”
After holding their first mall show in Cavite upon launching their first album way back in 2005, Hale’s fanbase in the region stands strong. “[It’s] nice to be back again, and any opportunity to play, we’ll take it for sure,” Champ shared.
Following Hale, Silent Sanctuary took to the stage for the “more than fifth time” in the University, a testament to the demand of DLSU-D.
Despite their countless performances in the campus, the hype seems to never die down as Silent Sanctuary lead singer Raymund “Sarkie” Sarangay said, “Hanggat pabalik at pabalikan dito, painit na painit yung crowd, pasaya ng pasaya.”
Thinking along the same lines as Sarkie, CEATSC 2016-2017 President Patricia Dequito shared, “Ang haba ng preparation, pero hindi namin na-expect na magiging ganito kasaya.”
Other performers included the Lasallian Pop Band, Lasallian Pointes N’ Flexes, as well as spoken word performers and the student bands 316, A Second Too Late, and No Way Out.
