Civilian attire permitted until end of sem

The DLSU-D students will now be permitted to wear civilian attire from March 15 until May 26, the end of semester, as a result of the approved request of the University Student Council (USC) 2017-2018 to Dr. Mario Torres, Dean of the Office of Student Services (OSS).

 

According to the request letter dated March 1 and posted on USC’s Facebook page today, March 6, the USC explains that the purpose of the request is “for students to be comfortable and avoid the heat of the summer from distracting them from studying.”

However, students must abide by the civilian wear guidelines stated in the 2014 to 2018 DLSU-D Student Handbook.

For clarification, while the USC previously posted the proposed civilian wear changes to the Student Handbook revision, the changes, should they be approved or not, will not be implemented until next academic year (AY).

Last AY, USC 2016-2017 proposed a similar request to then dean of OSS, Don Malabanan. However, the request was declined.
