DLSU-D cagers set for the 26th season of the NCRAA

The DLSU-D men’s basketball team along with 15 other universities from Luzon participated in the opening ceremony of the 26th season of the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) league with the theme “Unlocking Our Full Potential” at Olivarez College in Parañaque City today, November 27.

The league welcomed four newcomers—Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna, Immaculada Concepcion, Pasig Catholic, and Centro Escolar University— to take over the spots originally held by New Era University, University of Makati, Technological Institute of the Philippines, and AMA University.

NCRAA president Cesar Hagos of Olivarez College, commissioner George Magsino, and general manager Buddy Encarnado teamed up to take the helm of the 26th season.

“Now we will have to unlock the full potential of NCRAA with the participation of each school and each member of the varsity teams. We will try to make our presence felt. On that note ladies and gentlemen, by virtue of the powers given to me by your NCRAA board, I now declare the 26th season of NCRAA officially opened. Let the games begin!” said general manager Buddy Encarnado, as he officially declared the opening of the season.

The Cagers will have their first match of the fresh season against Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa on Monday, December 3, at PATTS College of Aeronautics in Parañaque City.
