Quaint coffee shops are prevalent all over Manila, but the long wait is finally over as a café opened just a few months ago in the heart of Cavite dubbed the Buku-Buku Kafe, which derives its name from the Bahasa word “buku” meaning books.
Not only does the café offer numerous Instagram-able moments brought about by its industrial interiors and charming decor, but it also serves as a hidden haven for bookworms. Aside from books hanging on the ceiling as part of their interior, a mini library is present beside dining tables where customers may borrow a book of their choice while enjoying a cup of coffee or even a dish of delicious pastries and pasta. Local-loving comes to life as Buku Buku Kafe sells local goods and handmade products, making the place a sanctuary for local art and food lovers.
Easy to find and wallet-friendly to college students, Buku-Buku Kafe offers an array of dishes and drinks varying from their refreshing Tsokolate-Mint Shake and Lychee Mint Tea to their Crispy Pulled Pork sandwich and Thick Tuna Benedict sandwich that are sure to leave you stuffed and satisfied.
To fit in the youth’s standards in the trendiest way possible, Buku-Buku Kafe also provides sources of entertainment such as board games and occasional poetry reading and live music. Overall, Buku Buku Kafe does not only satisfy our taste buds but also serves as the perfect niche to catch up and perk up the family and tropas’ affinities.
