Frontliners and affected students receive donations through Tulong Lasalyano

The University Advancement Office (UAO) has raised P135,000 worth of cash and in-kind donations as of April 9 through Tulong Lasalyano, a fundraising effort to help coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) frontliners and at-risk partners, which started on March 24.

According to UAO Director Marco Polo,  the total amount of money raised excludes donations from some colleges who reached out to affected students and contractual employees of the University.

“No amount is big or small as both will go a long way in helping us provide support and assistance,” UAO said on a Facebook post.

Half of the raised cash donations will be donated to the De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) while the other half will be given to the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC) for affected students and frontliners.

In-kind donations will be distributed to DLSUMC and  LCDC depending on the nature of the items.

As of press time, the fundraising campaign is still open for donations.
