Green Patriots nears LCL South Luzon crown, overpowers SCT H20 E-Sports
Inching closer to the Southern Luzon chapter throne, the DLSU-D Green Patriots whitewashed the third-seeded Siena College Taytay (SCT) H20 E-Sports, 2-0, in a best-of-three semi-finals series yesterday, November 25 in the afternoon, booking a finals’ ticket in the South Luzon League of Legends (LoL) Collegiate League (LCL) Conference.
Team Captain Marc Perez shared that the good communication and coordination of the team was the key play for their quick victory in the semis.
But as they look forward to the finals’ stage, Senior High School student, Green Patriots member, and the captain’s brother Angelo Perez expects that their finale performance calls for a more harmonized and united team—skills they have yet to improve.
“Ang edge lang namin siguro sa kanila ay ‘yong individual skill namin. Siguro kung one-on-one, panalo kami. Pero kung by team na, mukhang mas malakas kalaban kasi mas malakas ‘yong coordination nila kumpara sa amin,”Angelo Perez said.
Their finals opponent will be decided today after the game between the first-ranked University of the Philippines – Los Baños Excelsior and fourth placer Bicol University Shave. With a report from Sheka Ignaco.
