Prelim schedule for East Campus classes adjusted

The prelim examination for classes affected by the electricity failure in the East Campus may be moved to September 24 to 29 upon the discretion of professors, as per University Registrar Paulino Gatpandan, DIT.

However, classes not affected by the shortage will follow the original schedule set on September 17 to 22 and may conduct regular classes the following week.

Gatpandan furthered that the policy did not set a uniformed schedule for all colleges, as only the buildings in the East Campus are affected by the malfunction in Substation 1. “Mahirap nga na i-set lang natin na sabay-sabay so hindi naman kasi lahat affected ang classes,” Gatpandan explained.

However, there is still no further discussion whether or not the midterm and final examinations will be moved to a later date in the academic calendar. “Concentration lang natin is this prelim exam just because of the situation in the East Campus,” said Gatpandan.

As of press time, there is no update if the suspension will continue tomorrow, September 6, in the East Campus.
